Darkness, R.I.P.

It is with great sadness I received the news of the sudden passing of Darkness, I am sure many on here will have fond memories of Mark and his contributions to the UKMOC family over the years.

I was looking forward to meeting him and Catherine at the weekender ,sadly he had to change plans but the exchange in mails that followed left a lasting impression.

Here is a message from Catherine posted on the community forum,

Dear Ducati community
It is with great sadness that I want to let you know of the sudden and unexpected death of my husband Mark Davies (Darkness). His funeral is on December 10th at 2pm at Charlton Park Crematorium in Andover, Hampshire. I am trying to inform anybody who knew him of his passing.
Thank you, his wife Catherine Davies

My heartfelt condolences to Catherine and the family, RIP Mark

Sorry to hear this, Mark came to most of the Hants/Wilts meets either by car or bike

A frequent poster on Ukmoc and very knowledgeable on the original bikes

RIP Darkness, my thoughts go out to his family and friends

What shocking news.

I never met Mark in person but I feel like I knew him through his contributions on the forum over a long period of time.
I was hoping (and expecting) that our paths would cross before much longer.
I'm truly shocked to learn of his passing.

Oh! What a shock!
It's not long ago we were chatting about his very poorly son moving back with them so they could nurse him back to health.
We also chatted about all the spare parts he had waiting to be built into a very strange but interesting mongrel Ducati.

Always willing to help out on a project with anything he had that would help it along.
Such a shame we never met.

Rest in peace.

RIP my friend and so much respect to you.

How very sad. I never met Mark, but he was a great help to me in my recent build, and welcomed me to the Monster fold.
