MyDucati app

Have any other members installed this? It was released last Monday (21/9/20)
I assume it’s avalable for Android (I have an iPhone)
Before I email the factory with my thoughts on it, I’d welcome anyone else’ feelings to balance or add weight to what I’m thinking of saying to them.
Feel free to PM or email me.

Yes I have
Will I use it? I doubt very much, spent some time looking around and can't really see the point of it, given some of the profile questions I suspect if I were to fill them in I'd be bombarded with marketing junk.
Will leave it on for now but fairly sure it will get deleted ?

i would like it to have your bikes service history on it, repairs or recall warranty work, mileage, mot etc etc would be more useful than them asking what car i drive

I registered yesterday in a fit of boredom. Don't really see much point to it, just feels like Ducati are wanting to extract as much data out of you as possible without any real benefits to the user. Perhaps I'm missing something or maybe more user interface features will be added in the future?

If you don't drive an Audi, they will try to sell you one!

Does it cover M900 Monsters?

Unlike their website that refuses to believe they exist

It does include M900... but I thought the website did too, I know 916/748 could only be added as ‘other’, I guess they had to put a cut-off somewhere but missing some iconic models seemed short sighted to me (I already raised this with them)

The (excessive) data gathering is an obvious complaint, although at least they added a ‘deactivate profile’ link, I’ve previously complained that not having something like that was a major GDPR fail.

I like uksurfers suggestions although MOT might be a bit tricky as each country will have its own system but I’ll add it to the list nonetheless

So.

Its kind a pointless but hay maybe with time.

Few bits.
When you go in to your bike and click for example owners manual it just downloads pdf. Nope should open it in app as a book style thing.
Also if you have bike in there the minimum it should have is manual permanently downloaded to phone rest should work when online.

I can see my dealer, I can see my bike why can't I see all services done on bike. They have that data. To elaborate on that it should have all services done at official dealer and tracker when is next plus ability to add your own service.

Other brands bikes while I get you do not want to promote that it should have ability to add your own photo.

All bikes in garage should have ability to add your own comments and notes. Like when you last changed tyres, tyre pressure and so on.
Tell them to look at vehicle smart to understand whats missing in garage.
