Ducati Coventry or Ducati Worcester ?

Looking for recommendations of which main dealer to use for an older bike, Ducati Coventry or Ducati Worcester ?

They are almost exactly the same distance for me.

Thank you

If you just need spares use Moto Rapido who will give you a 10% discount if you mention this forum.

I know nothing about Ducati Worcester but Ducati Coventry (JHP) are very well regarded.

As above ....
I've no experience of Ducati Worcester but I have always had good service from Ducati Coventry.
And I have used Moto Rapido for mail order parts .. they've always been very helpful.

I've used both on several occasions. Like you, same distance but a crap ride into Coventry, whereas Worcester is a good ride there & back from Alcester.
I changed from Cov' to Worcester because after a few services, I noticed their £12.50 waste oil charge. I thought that way too hefty, and checked with Worcester. They charged me £3.40 for waste disposal & only £10 to take a loan bike for the whole day.
I did query the charge with JHP, but they said it was their standard charge and didn't try to explain why it was more than anywhere I've ever known. Car or bike servicing.

Good to know about the oil thanks.

They both have good reputations which is also good news for me.

And I agree the ride in Coventry is awful.

Is Worcester Ducati in the building by the race course that used to be the American style diner? I shall doubtless need some spares in the future and may take a ride over.

Thanks. Does anyone know whether they keep a stock of basic spares for the older Monsters at Worcester or do they have to order them in? Any excuse for a ride over there but I do find Moto Rapido helpful especially with the 10% discount vs postage costs.

I live in Glasgow and still use Moto Rapido for all my spares. The guys are really approachable in the spares dept and their knowledge, esp of older Monsters, is excellent.

They also answer any email queries quickly (even during lockdown) when I used them lots.

Completely agree with all that has been said, MR parts are simply the best, seem to have most parts in stock, if not then it only takes a few days to arrive, Craig and Luke are really knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to.

Coventry are only a few miles for me and used them for years, but I have also received great service from Nottingham, can’t think that Worcester would be any different. Dorian and Chris used to run Triiumph in Birmingham.
