mystery email not from ducati

please be on the lookout for an email that looks like it came from ducati, saying ‘complete your registration’ it seems to come from itconsducati@deloitte.com
NOT Ducati themselves, although the link looks legit.
Trying to find out what’s going on.

Yea, I got one of those earlier. Did not open any links but it did look genuine at first. Maybe something to do with all the recent activity from people on here registering? Thanks for the warning as I must confess my guard was down a bit on that one.

Got two of those and "confirmed my registration" to both of them.

Both times they opened my Ducati account and showed all the info... I didn't even want to re-join DOC!

Is it a phishing email, anything to be worried about? And did Gary get phished? I must confess the only reason I didn't give it any attention was because I had so many other emails to read through.

Yea, but you've not registered with Ducati.com so who have you given your details to?

I had this yesterday & did open it & updated my details. Have jousted logged in to my Ducati site using the new password I changed yesterday & the updated details are all there. From this I conclude, hopefully, that it is a genuine mail. Dave

The source is deloitte which is a data audit company. One of their things is market analysis so it might be Ducati has them looking at the ownership base and running some trend analysis. Knowing who your active customers are gives a firm base so I would assume they are ensuring the Ducati data is current and accurate.
I looked but I was in my shed at the time so it was a browser in Kali linux, not much gets in or out of that without explicit permissions so it's safe to open most anything.

I suspect you’re right Nick, especially since Ducati are purging all their out of date data next week, it would probably be better if whoever in management it was who contracted Deloitte had informed the rest of their staff before emailing the membership of ~250 clubs and anyone else who’s registered with Ducati in the last 8 years. Especially since the link was genuine and there didn’t appear to be any additional content or tracking data in the email.

just received this:

Dear Presidents,

yesterday, during a normal production release, the communication you see below has been sent by mistake.

We reassure you, it's not phishing and you can simply ignore the email.

If someone had clicked on the link and entered their credentials for confirmation there is no problem: they simply accessed the MyDucati profile.

Kind regards

Team DOC

That's a relief, I'm glad I haven't been phished, especially if this is what it's like!!

I got it to, but couldn't remember my password. Ducati saild if I clicked the red rectangle they would send it to me at my email.

They then sent this!
