Bar end mirrors - what do you think??
Hi all,
Thinking of getting myself some bar end mirrors as I can't stand the mirrors Ducati supply as standard. They work great, but they just look stuck on and don't go with the rest of the bike. Thing is, I can't work out if bar end mirrors are fugly or not - some bikes look great, others don't. I've got an '09 696 so if you have pics, that would be great. Cheers! |

I will be getting this fitted next week:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Imol...item2c66e75dac should look better and also easier for filtering. |

Regarding the Bar end Mirrors, I think they look quite nice. Best with clip-on bars perhaps, for the full Cafe racer look?? I still have the standard ones and I get a great view of my elbows in about half of each mirror.

Iv'e recently purchased these.
They are fitted with the mirror over the grip rather than pointing out, this allows filtering and keeps the mirrors useful. They are similar to Rzoma, the finish is not as high a standard but they cost about a 5th of the price. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTORCYCLE...item5d2f916580

If you don't mind spending £65 ea, I really rate my Oberon bar-enders.
(They do a cheaper "streetfighter" model, but I don't think they're quite as versatile). I have the 75mm round ones on my old-style M750, and they give an improved view over the std mickey-mouse mirrors. They're also dead easy to adjust...mine get adjusted twice every time I take the bike out (narrow gateway) but its a breeze. As you'd expect at the price, the quality is excellent and the anodising hasn't faded in over 2 yrs use. |

I have the Rizoma version of those too, only use one on the right side.
I had some CRG Lanesplitters for a while, which were very nicely made, but they bothered me for filtering in London as they made the front wider. I like the Rizomas as they can be used inboard and spun outwards if you want to. |

Had the smaller Oberon bar ends at first but the rear view was too restricted

We had a streetfighter one fitted to Hannah's Speed Triple and it was awful, so small that by the time you'd focussed on it you ridden such a distance down the road it was dangerous - went back to standard in the end.
