Cleaning Engine Cooling Fins

Hi there,
I am looking for guidance?

How do you clean the engine fins, black paint? What cleaning products are popular?

Thank You

Wife's tooth brush. Just don't tell her when you put it back. It will be fine honest.

I removed mine from the rad, soaked them in silicone based spray, worked off the grime with a toothbrush and they look as good as new. There easy to remove once the rad is off.

A smallish bottle brush would probably be better on an air cooled engine.

If you want super clean in small areas with minimal effort, I'd look for an attachment for a dremmel. I have some that are plastic brush heads on 30mm long stems. A good cleaner like gunk on the fins first first , then using the tool (on the flexible extension) is probably going to be both quick and easy.
