New member saying hello and need advice on pazzo or crg levers

Hi,

First of all, i would like to say hi to everybody and thank you all for all the useful info on the site!

A bit of background info: I passed my test on the end of October 2007 and really fancied getting a Monster... In the end I bought a 2003 Monster 620sie off one of the fellow member of the list and really enjoying the bike...

I have relatively small hands (i am only 5'6") and finding the clutch and brake levers are a bit of a stretch for my hands and would like to get some adjustable ones. I've bought a pair of compatible ones and although they fit on the bike, the clutch lever lacks the metal "finger" underneath to click the clutch kill switch allowing the bike to start when the bike in gear.

I am just wondering are the pazzo levers compatible with my bike? (in the sense of original brembo levers)

i mean in the sense of without doing modification to anything else...

I think the crg levers require an adaptor... and i have no idea for pazzo levers, although I saw a clip on youtube showing pazzo levers being fitted on a 1000ss

I checked on pazzo's site and my bike is not on the supported list.

Just want to make sure before I buy anything... may be should send pazzo an email to clarify.

Craig is brilliant and really helpful and very efficient at getting stuff out to you. Hope you have loads of fun with the bike. I passed my test a couple or so months ago but have an old 600 and even though I'm really tiny with really weak hands I'm not having too much of a problem with levers but the model difference may account for that.

I Have CRG shorty style levers on my 900ie, nice for me.

I got them from Demon Tweaks, but be sure to get the correct pivot pin diameter. ( the pin that hinges the lever) My 2001 900ie has 8mm diameter pins but Demon tweaks supplied 12mm diameter initially

(Some Ducati have this size), not a problem as they changed them. but check what you need before ordering.

hi, just to confirm that for future reference... talked to Craig from moto rapido and pazzo clutch and levers do fit my 2003 Monster 620sie without any modification and the lever includes a pin that will activate the kill switch (or should I save deactivate) when pull in the clutch lever. i.e the bike will start when it is in gear as long as the side stand is up... may be it is time to order a pair!
