2014 1200 stalling when 1st is engaged..

Has anyone else had this and fixed it?

It did it for the 1st time this morning... A managed to start it by revving the engine and engaging 1st at the same time..

I don't know if this will help but the switch on the side stand can be problematic and has been removed by a lot of owners me included you just have to remember to lift it before you pull away.
It's easy to remove and then trace the loom until you find the connector unplug it and then bridge the two wires in the main loom ( there's a past thread on that)

If it is the side stand switch, Desmoworld do an eliminator:

and you can see it's just a single wire bridging the two poles - easy enough to make yourself.
