Massive Spotting!

Spotted so many Monsters on my way to work this morning I'm bound to forget some, crazy!

- Red (M600?) Female rider on Kings Road around Fulham going East
- Black White stripe (S2R?) still on Kings Road going West
- Black (M695?) Female Rider on Chelsea Embankment going East
- White 696 Male rider on Chelsea Embankment going East
- White (not too sure I didn't get much time to look back) 696/1100 still Chelsea Emb. going West

Couldn't believe my eyes, thought I was still sleeping and dreaming of a Monster-ised London

It's not just Monster owners mate.
I have a theory that there are two types of motorcyclist, the biker and people who ride bikes.
The biker is likely to have been born with a spanner in his/her hand, probably had quite a few bikes in their time and usually do their own servicing/mending etc, or as my dad used to refer to me and my mates, "scruffy, oily tw@ts, with a great sense of humour and comradeship ".

The people who ride motorcycles however, i see as the bloke (or bloke-ess) who has bought the bike, purely as a means of getting to work because the car isn't cost-effective anymore.
They haven't a clue how to maintain the bike, so they take it to the shop if anything goes wrong, probably paying more in the long run, than what it would have cost to have kept the car!
There's a guy down the road from me that has an XBR500, i see him going to work on it every morning and coming home again, he NEVER uses it except for work.
Then i see him catching the bus to go shopping and struggling up the hill past my house, with four carrier bags full.
He has never taken any notice of my Ducati and certainly never waves back if i do see him, whether he's on the bike or not, a strange breed indeed.

Could'nt agree more with that statement, I was born with a spanner in my hand, tin of WD40 in the other whilst suckling on a pair of termi's. Our 5 year old daughter thinks its normal (which it is) to spend Sunday fettling with the bike, helping me clean it, whilst she cleans her Barbie doll push bike and oils her chain.

Plus her favourite place (and one of mine) is the motor museum at Bourton on the Water. Her mother despairs sometimes! No pretty pink dresses for her!

Thats the way it should be!
