Silver S2R 1000
Here's a quick rundown and a picture of my S2R
One owner (i'm the second) S2R 1000 done just over 21k DIY tail chop Smoked screen from eBay - chinese copy for £8 or so, pretty good to be honest. Pillion pegs removed Danmoto exhaust courtesy of squarehead - sounds mega! eBay bar end mirrors - again good for the cash. 7x5 number plate. Really like riding it, loads of grunt for real life riding conditions. I enjoy cruising around town on it as much as opening it up on the twisties as per the picture! |

Nice one. I quite often call in at the sun inn between otley and pateley bridge on a weekend. Always bikes there. Just have to watch gravel in the carpark!

Either you have very special gravel up there or your TV has broke!

Yes I was up there last Wednesday, that's the main bike night. I'm about 20 mins or so from there so it's a nice quick run out for me. Occasionally some nice kit there and often some interesting cars too. Agree about the gravel!

Regarding the screen, was it one of these?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Moto...item2a54da704d I'm just wondering how it is as I need to replace mine as I managed to put a scratch in it and it cost a small fortune?

Yes exactly that one. I struggled finding one as there was only pricey ones from America listed for the S2R but I then realised the S4 is the same!
It's a good thickness and colour it's just that the edges are not as well finished as the original as it has obviously been cut on a CNC router and then fac-vormed. Whereas the original is probably injection moulded. For the money its a no-brainer. Sorry I just realised I did not reply to your PM about your exhausts either. I would have liked them but low on funds, especially as would need a re-map for the bike to run 100%. |

Yea, the only black ones I could find at the time were those expensive ones from the US. So I think I might have to get one to try at that price!

I've always bought those cheap chinese screens for previous bikes. Bought one for the GF's R6 (now Speed Triple) and it survived a winter spill by me whilst my 996 was tucked up in the shed

Hi Roger
yes, cat still fitted, just swapped the end pipes for Danmoto GP Carbon ones (can be found on eBay cheap) no issues with running lean and no ECU mods. Only when you remove the cat and/or start messing with airbox modifications will it run lean im led to believe. |
