S2R custom

Not sure the exhaust would work very well with such unequal lengths for H and V cylinders

Like it, except the exhaust which looks cr@p and probably won't work very well either. Seems like more of a styling exercise to me and would be better with a 916 style setup and how can you check the oil level?

What is interesting is that customisers always seem to use S2R / S4R's to modify.

This is similar in the way that Singer use the Porsche 964 to make their lovely but ridiculously expensive 911 restomod.

And them doing this forces the prices of the Porsche 964 up and also makes original harder to find.

Therefore will a similar thing happen to the S2R / S4R's

I'm not sure but this is the cheapest S4 on ebay atm:-

I have noticed the prices of S4s have risen in the last 6 months or so which is a bit surprising as I suspect custom builders want the Single Sided Swinging Arm S2R and S4R.

A tad too 'stylish' for my liking - never been keen on the curled-round-the-side-of-the-engine exhausts that Ducati make now but that does seem way too much form over function with the extra long rear pipe (neat welding though) and WTF is it with these silly numberplate holders?

But correct those 2 things and otherwise, not bad.

Despite that article describing the oe exhaust as awkward looking I very much disagree with that, in fact the twin stacked cans arrangement (minus the cat of course) is far more elegant than this showy piece of nonsense.
And those footrest hangers are the ugliest I’ve ever seen!
But where this fails the most for me is that blind attempt to have the horizontal cafe look sat awkwardly on top of the v shaped trellis frame leaving an ugly gap above the frame, the sportclassic tank could be made to work with some adaption but that seat unit just looks like it’s been left there because they couldn’t think of anything else, deciding to put the pointless exhaust outlet there just made it worse.
I don’t know what the little gauge and the blue frippery bits are meant to do, perhaps a temperature gauge to measure how much they heat the oil line by having it inside those gaudy header pipes, not good planning there.
I think my own bike is nicer!

I like the colours, that's about it really.
