Hello!.....from a newbie in Hampshire
Hi!
My name is Helen and I joined the site a few weeks ago when I met a lovely lady at Popham Airfield who came over chatting to me - asking if I was Char?? :-)) Nope! I am 54 years young, live in South Hampshire and passed my test in March this year. I took delivery of a brilliant Monster 796 which I love. So far I have ridden 9000 miles - well - that's when I have next to refuel!! - probably be tomorrow. I have joined this site to meet others to ride out with (go to Loomies and Berry Hill) and also to find others who would want to go riding further afield. Rode 2000 miles in 10 days through 7 countries in August (with a mate and a tent) and just cant wait to do more..... After my european treck I confess I have test-ridden the diavel carbon....beauuuuty-full !! My IT skills mean I am still working out how to use this site (currently learning the hard way!!!LOL!!) Bye for now H x |

I used to go past the top of Hayling everyday for years!!
Now I go past berry hill, albeit different one over here in the forest. I do love a roundabout run into work but hampshire and back would be a bit much first thing in the morning, might be an idea when it warms up next year though You might like Belgium there's a regular trek over and an annual get together at Arrow Mill. There's a lot of great people here, hope you get out and about and meet up with some of them.

Hey, some of us are in Italy right now taking in the Milan bike show - pencil in early November next year for the same trip. Meanwhile, if anyone mentions Limoncello - beware....

Welcoem Helen and wow you've really been bitten by the biking bug this year. Nice to seen you've thrown yourself into European touring already, I love it.
Anything you need just ask away.

Hi Helen and welcome.
I think we met at Popham as I remember the Char question....? I don't know where the next local [Not Milan] meet is, but there should be something on the first Sunday of the month. There's a Christmas get together too near Andover. Details in the Hants and Wilts local pages..... Mark

Welcome, from another member of the IT Illiteratisti. Don't let that be a handicap.
Wow, 9000m (and counting) in year one...thats proper mileage. These days I'm lucky if I do 3000. |
