Chain spat an O ring

After washing my M1200 yesterday I noticed an O ring on the drive. As far as I know the only way to fix this is to replace it with a new rivet link but Ducati want stupid money for a link, might be cheaper to replace whole chain. Does anyone have a quick fix for this?
