Weekender 2018.. THIS IS IT!!

Okay this is a far from normal Weekender, not only is it the 25th anniversary of the Monster. But it breaks the mould in many ways, due to being run by a virtual Weekender virgin.
Help me out by coming and having a good time despite my attempts at cocking it up...

Luckily we are in very good hands at The Sharnbrook Hotel.

As well as chaos and the unexpected, there are the following to look forward to.

Friday 4th May (May the fourth be with you).
Check ins at the hotel 2pm onwards
8-8.15pm onwards, Buffet in the VesuviO restaurant ( If you think you will be arriving later get in touch so a later sitting can be arranged.)

Saturday May 5th
10.30am The big Saturday run. ( make sure you are in good time for the run briefing.)
See here for details. http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=56385
8pm Sitting for 25th Anniversary Dinner.
You will have had an email receipt of your Eventbrite order for your meals. There is a printable ticket on that, but it is not necessary to bring this. The staff have all the details under your names.
If you have still not ordered , click on this..https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/uk-mo...ts-42275655624 and use password, silvermonsters (this applies to the buffet and BBQ also)

If you are riding up for the run on Saturday or Sunday morning and are also staying that night, you may leave your baggage at reception and check in later (after 2pm).

Sunday 6th May
9.30am Depart on The big Sunday run. Again be early for the briefing.
Listen carefully at the briefing for details of the departure from Duxford for the run back the hotel.
We will be part of a large vehicle show within the Airfield, for which you will require tickets.
Please see details here.. http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=56296

5pm( Approx.) BBQ back at the Sharnbrook.
Followed by Bike judging by members votes.
Followed by awarding trophies.
Followed by lynching of weekender organiser... Aw ! So what? I'll burn in hell anyway for selling my soul to the Devil to pay for good weather for you nice people.

Monday 7th May
I urge you to linger on Monday Morning to witness The Sharnbrook filling up with Super car exotica. We have spaces reserved, so that we can be part of this spectacle.
(On Sunday evening, parking will be arranged to accommodate the massive influx of Supercars. So await instructions.)
For a taster, see here.. https://youtu.be/2m7DtNzD9l4

That's the bare bones of it all. Essentially it doesn't happen without YOU..

See you there.

Nice one young man! I know how much work goes into these weekends

Can't believe it was 5 years ago I had the pleasure of organising the Wroxton.

There is a great deal of satisfaction to be had though <..>

No one fails. Only failings can be weather and folk missing out by no show. Let the show commence and safe travels up to all.
Well done all

So long and thanks for all the fish.

Well that's it.

Thanks for all the great support, help and all your kind donations.. Let's see what happens.

Nothing for it but it roll wheels now. Belly is upset something rotten! Doc says it's a bad case of Lepidoptera... Sounds serious!

Final note... There is a petrol station less than a mile northwards from the hotel on the A6.
That's left onto the A6 and follow the bend round. Fuel is on the right.

See ya.

I do hope it’s not Acherontia? That can be quite unpleasant, especially the pupae stage.
