in computing... ‘server/client’, although ‘master/slave’ still exists in some applictions,
i read about one coding language that changed ‘leader/follower’ recently,
i’d have thought ‘live/dev(elopment)’ or ‘primary/secondary’ would make more sense.

In mathematics you would have an operator and an operand, maybe similar to primary/secondary?
