Motorcyclists family win diesel claim
Reported on Crash.net
In a landmark ruling, the Motor Insurers’ Bureau (MIB) has been forced to compensate a motorcyclists family over a fatal collision between a biker and a bus. http://www.crash.net/motoring/roadbi...ll_menace.html Sad news for his family, but it looks like the insurance industry will have to face up to it's responsibilities from now.

Very sad news for his family but good news now that maybe something will be done about spills. Sadly only paying money out ever seems to be the way to get something done about anything.

I don't think this is the first payout, I'm sure someone else got one a few months back, he survived luckily. It is good news though, it's just a pity they still get sniffy about paying out for loose gravel spills or other road surface problems. Hopefully this will pave the way to a more sensible approach to those too.
