I bought a 961 from Norton in 2011 and they delivered it Aug 2012, Garner and Norton were a pain in the ass to deal with but I put on 8,500 miles in 4 years before I got rid of them and it. Those 8,500 miles were some of the best miles I've ever spent on any motorcycle in 40 years riding, it was such a fine handling machine with a very engaging ride the engine was rough and ready but when it was running right it was fabulous fun. I'm hoping my 19 plate 1200S will fill the void it left, the KTM 1200 superduke didn't and neither did Kawasaki's z900rs.

Yea it's shocking what he did to those once great companies (Spondon and Norton). Pretty obvious he didnt have the knowledge or experience on how to run a company How was he allowed to get away with it for so long when the warning signs were there back in 2013? I see from Henry Cole's show that someone has resurrected the Hesketh brand and building bikes again?

Have you seen the video of the guy who's bike went in for a paint defect and he went in to collect it and all that was left was a engine in the frame!! .

I don't do twitter and the like but here are some links I've found on other forums, let's see if this works...

None of it makes good reading, people out of work, pensions pot gone...

My understanding is that after the Maxwell pension scandal, company pensions had to be ring-fenced by law.

The world seems to be run by spivs, charlatans & con-men these days & they are often portrayed as the movers & shakers the world needs. Sad.

Can't find it now, it was on twitter . They wheel the remains of the bike out on a little cart and put it in a van with the guy commentating on how it went in for a paint defect and there's virtually nothing left of his 44k bike!
