New S4 Monster Challenge Owner

Taken the plunge and bought a ridiculously cheap S4 Challenge bike. Purchased as a non-runner (eagle eyed will have spotted the trailer in the background!), however this is only due to a missing pin between the clutch lever and master cylinder.

Previous owner had a low side on the left - going to spend the winter getting her back together and on the road.

All parts ordered from Ducati Glasgow - surprisingly reasonable prices and great service.

1st Ducati for me - previous Italian bike was a moto guzzi 1100 sport corsa - it's got to be easier to ride/more reliable than that!

Here's just some of the damage........

One of the Main issues is the water pump cover - ordered a new one from Ducati also getting a full set of Samco silicone hoses as there is a leak in the originals.

Having a real problem with the pin the goes from the clutch to the master cylinder (see pic), I'm hoping that my pal Les (forum member on here) is going to sort me out with a spare. Only other option is a new master cylinder as the part cannot be purchased separately.

The termi's are also stupidly loud. God knows how its got through MOT's over the years. Can they be re-packed??

Can you not just get replacement lever that has that part in?

Not according to Ducati - its part of the master cylinder and not part of the lever

Oh crap, Yes I can see similar levers to yours for sale, they just have the hole. I have the older type masters on mine, like the early 916 so mine have like a grub screw, instead of whatever you need.

Yep - that's the one. New master cylinder is £130.00 + VAT (in itself not too bad) however I just need that wee pin! I've tried a couple of breakers, they're not keen on splitting the master cylinder though.
