Hello everyone!
Hi guys,
Thought I would briefly introduce myself. My names Simon and from Milton Keynes. I am 24 and a Development/Design Engineer. I recently brought a 1994 M900 with 14k on the clock off a very close friend. Pretty standard bike apart from dyno jet stage 2 and a fancy carbon clutch cover... Love the noise. My previous bike was an SV650 which I highly modified with various GSXR bits etc. My intention with the Duc is to keep it relatively standard as it is a gorgeous beast. This winter I am going to do a full strip down and re-paint the engine and frame as they are looking quite tatty. Apparently crap engine paint is very common on these :/ I intend to post lots of pics of my monster journey and semi restoration. So far this forum seems to be a great pool of information which I am grateful for and look forward to adding too. Anyway gone off on one a bit! Cheers |

Hello there and Welcome.
I too will be doing a bit of a strip and re-paint this Winter on My 2000 900Sie, so it will be interesting to compare notes. Cheers Gazza |

Welcome along . Good year bike as early. If the paints lasted 19 years that's not so bad for a monster or any Ducati

Yeh I suppose you have a point there Albie. I'm thinking VHT paint as I have read a lot of good things. I also had a word with with our powder coat guy and he will let me bake the components in his oven when painted to cure them, result!
