Swinging arm anodising
Hi all
I have a 1994 900m - it has an aluminium which I understand is anodised. The finish after 27yrs is now a bit the worse for wear. My questions are: - is the finish anodising ? - if it is anodised does anyone have any recommendations as to who could do it? I've done a quick internet search but most firms doing anodising seem to be only interested in bulk orders! |

Many thanks for that Darkness - not a company that came up in my search!

Dorset Aluminium are a bunch of good Guys, and Gals.
The Owner Noel is a bike owner, I think at the moment he's on a newish Fireblade. And his team are all really helpful. They do all of Talons anodising, all those lovely bright colours for the motorcross and other competition and road bikes. I know them very well, as I use them for work - a lot. They develop and apply the finish on very high quality CNC Aluminium parts that we use to manufacture customer facing electronic systems used in first class cabins on commercial aircraft. The standards we work to have meant many Anodisers have fallen by the wayside over the years, but Dorset have been working with us for @ 10yrs and I can always rely on them. I can't possibly recommend them enough, but please don't give them any work that will impact my deliveries! Nasher

The only problem anodising the 94 M900 swingng arm is that you need to remove the steel inserts/rivets because they will knacker their anodising baths. Well that's what Steve at Acorn told me, and he's done plenty of other work for me, so I don't think it was a fob off.
