Wanted: M600 1997 parts / help
Hi, I'm looking for a replacement vacuum fuel cock and also the large plastic nut that holds the petrol sensor in place under the tank.
Been scouring the net and so far no luck with the fuel cock and can only find a replacement metal nut from the US. Any help with where to find the above or guidance as to alternatives that can be used would be much appreciated. Thanks |

Do you mean the vacuum fuel stop under the tank? (number 4, the little round one) If so then you can do away with this altogether as i did, just remember to block of the redundant vacuum pipe from the inlet manifold. The fuel pump (number 16, the five sided one) is also vacuum operated and only works when the engine is running. You could always fit a inline fuel tap instead or buy a new fuel stop, about £26 from Ducati if memory serves.

Thanks for the replies.
Yes Dunlop its no. 4, the round vacuum fuel cock, would prefer to keep it if I can find another, our local Ducati dealer has it on backorder, but thats been for the last month or so with no sign of it anytime soon ! Only spotted the sensor nut at the weekend, just after having the bike serviced. Again, local Ducati dealer doesn't think its something he can get hold of anytime soon, if at all. Fireman Sam, if the vacuum fuel stop is one of the parts you have available, can you let me know what you'd want for it, tried searching for the nut with 600ss and 900ss also, but again with no joy, any ideas where I might get one anyone ? |

Hi Davy, thanks for the pointer but the item listed on ebay doesnt look like it includes the bit I need, tried to find a pic online but havent been able to find one, I'll try and take one today and post it to the thread.
At the moment the petrol sensor nut is the most critical, as Dunlop suggested above, the fuel stop could just be removed, but without the nut for the fuel sensor the bike cant be ridden, we've got a trip to England arrange for Easter week so time to sort it out is running low !! |
