Arrgh!! Date shock!!

Sorry for the short notice for this one, I've had this organised for a long time and the date has crept up on me.. Please see vacancies section for competent Norfolk rep!

September meet is in Redgrave. Not sure which side of the Norfolk/Suffolk border that is but it's close.

Sunday 12th September, 10am.
On the forecourt of the English Electric Motor Co at;
Electric House, Unit 1, Hall Farm, Church Road, Diss IP22 1RJ

If that postcode takes you to Redgrave Church search for "Star Wing Brewery" which is adjacent to the EEMC.
It's up the track opposite the Church.

If you would be interested in a test ride on an Electric bike please contact Alec on 01379 898987. Bring your driving license and a utility bill in case there is a chance of an impromptu ride.

Apologies to all for the late announcement of this meet, hardly surprising that only 4 of us turned up, but it was a lovely meet non the less.
Nathan was a marvellous host, serving tea and entertaining with a forecourt full of interesting bikes.
Nick "The Clockie" arrived on a Galluzzi designed Cagiva which even had CAV on the reg plate. Nice to see Nick again after some while.

Richard was there on his new Enfield 350 Meteor. I was very surprised at the build quality, which is superb and far superior to any new bike I've seen from any other maker.
They even exceed in internal cleanliness with proven cleaner oil on first oil change to all other makers. Makes you think?

Richard test rode the oddest bike in the line up, which was an "UPO" a strange looking machine which had it's frame extending over both wheels to form large racks, handy for hanging a sheep over and going anywhere apparently?
Both wheels are driven by hub motors. Richard came back grinning claiming to have made the front wheel spin.. Amazing.

I later tested the Energica Eva Ribelle. A full road test will appear on here later.
Suffice to say that I achieved a speed that rhymes with under and dirty, in mere seconds.
It is the heaviest and most powerful motor bike I have ever ridden, and the most expensive too, so several records in one go there! It was a privilege.

Thanks to Nathan and Alec for letting us meet at their shop and play with their toys.

I too have been surprised by the quality of the recent Enfields. Doesn't the Meteor also come with built-in basic sat-nav?

For anyone who hasn't seen this yet, it makes interesting viewing - although it doesn't show our favourite marque in a particularly good light!

Would have liked to have gone to this but already booked for tour of Bentwaters the old American airbase ...the restoration hanger was full of marvellous aircraft in varying states of restoration
