Ducati cafe racer

heres the latest project to come out of the premier autotrim workshop. recently unveiled at the stafford classic bike show ducati cafe racer. based on a ducati ss ie and inspired by the ford GT40s of the 60s, hope you like it.

Can't quite make my mind up about this one, don't see the point of drilling the swing arm then welding in tubes, It,s probably heavier now than when it started, like the wheels though.

As a lover of the Gulf colour scheme I must say for me this does not work at all, it just looks wrong and too much like swiss cheese.

Not my cup of tea, as I don't think it flows, nice round fairing (which seems quite large) and seat with a sharp pointy tank.

Still, something different and I quite like the exhausts...

I am not keen on the drilled swing arm, a nice ally one would be more to my liking.
Lots of nice touches and a very original look.

Once again, I'm impressed by how good the motor looks in the ss type frame, particularly with those polished belt covers.
I quite like the polished fork bottoms and std yokes too.
But I'd much prefer it with the fairing removed, a nice round headlight fitted, and a less "in your face" instrument console.
I agree that the swingarm drilling/filling probably does nothing to reduce weight and may even increase it, which makes this feature all style and no substance, which is a personal hate of mine.
But all things considered, I quite like it.
Possibly the seat is a tad too long, and I don't understand why there are two petrol filler caps.
The overall finish and quality of workmanship looks superb though.

Someone has been let loose with a pillar drill and polishing rig

Apart from that some really nice touches,like the rear of the frame and the seat but, as other have said, some elements are really OTT.

They do however restore the strength and probably some.
