The serious guys are extremely fast on the down hill runs there and very serious about it too.

Not without it's fatalities though

Apparently they smoke a lot of dope and snort coke before runs and have a lot of cervesa after

I ran out of petrol on my Ajay at the top of Cheddar Gorge one night.
I also had a camping trailer on the back, so no way I was pushing it anywhere!.. No matter it was all down hill anyway.
It's quite something to be hauling on the brakes at 50mph+ to crank it round the hairpins on the Gorge.. In near total silence! Interesting though to be stretching the throttle cable on the exits of the bends, to no effect!

Used to be an awesome experience having half a dozen or so loud bikes run the gorge in the dark.
The pub at the bottom didn't like anyone on bikes though, but there were much better places not so far away.
