Andreani Fork Upgrades?

Ringing around suppliers, talking to sales guys the Andreani brand name crops up fairly often. That might be because of the quality or the margin!

https://www.andreanigroup.com/news/moto/197

One major supplier told me his rating by way of comparison.

OEM equipment rating 3/10
K Tech SSK20 (piston kit) rating 6/10 (price fitted £380)
Andreani Misano full internals rating 9+/10 (price fitted £650)

For perspective
Maxton valves Conversion £516 (plus fitting at approx £120)
Maxton cartridges & conversion £830 (plus fitting at approx £120)

I don't mean to suggest all these options are comparing apples for apples - they are of course different. But they are all options to choose from.

Anyone have any knowledge of Andreani products that they can share - good or bad?

We have the K Tech piston kits in both of the TT 888 bikes, makes them feel (to me a mere mortal) like riding on air. Good enough for a 124.97mph lap of the IoM. I'm sure Maxton are very similar and don't forget to add £80'ish for a pair of springs.
Does the major supplier sell Andreani?

Yes, the major supplier mentioned sells Andreani / K Tech / Eibach / Hyperpro / Capit / Bitubo / GPR / Motul / YSS & Nitron.

I have expect that all the leading companies top range gear is great. I just want to get good value for my money as I won't be doing this a second time!

I'm a junior mere mortal. 124mph laps of IoM are not on my resume. Congrats!

I would have no problem in having the Andreani cartridges fitted, I was going to go down that route until Chris at K-Tech sorted my forks for me, that was about £560 but that was 3 years ago.

Chris at K Tech? Where might I get in touch with him and see what he has to say & offer? Someone personally reccomended shouldn't be missed!

The Adreani Missano kit does seem to include a lot for the money.

Chris is big chief at K-Tech, I just know him from when I raced at club level

The andreani kitty is spot on and comes with everything, worth a go, as I said if Chris had not stepped in at the last minute I would have taken the Andreani option.

Expanding on chris.p's reply, Chris Taylor is the man you want. He gave me a comprehensive list of options when I approached K-tech on chris.p's recommendation. His direct email address is:

chris.Taylor@ktechsuspension.com (Small 'c', capital 'T' if that matters)

Drop him a line telling him exactly what suspension you're currently running, what areas you want to improve, the sort of riding you do and the type of roads you use. Also give him details of the weight of both you and the bike.

Mention, as I did, that he's been recommended by UKMOC - if he sees enough referrals, perhaps we could negotiate a discount in the future!

I will email him over the weekend Luddite. Thanks!

There is a very good reason why 80% of the Road Racing paddock use K-Tech including McPint & Dunlop, not saying everthing else is no good it is after all down to your preference.........
