Bog eyed Monster

Just another sad chopped up M600, just so ugly I couldn't help but post out of sympathy.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-Mo...cAAOSwYUZdZDDp

Owner wants £4000, I think £400 would be a stretch. I'll offer £40.00 out of sympathy and in the vain attempt that it could possibly be saved at least in some decent form. But I doubt it.

If you want to make a Cafe Racer Monster just fit rearsets and low bars nothing more is needed really.

What kind of imbecile does that to a M600?

I don't buy into the idea that chopping a Ducati is somehow herecy or sacrilegious, however that headlight alone warrants some kind of punishment. Or at least a visit to SpecSavers.

Nice! The exhaust is very tasty, plus single side s/arm. If I didn't already have a Monster I would be very tempted by that one.

Apologies in advance for offending anyone.

But, what is this fascination with converting everything to a single sided swingarm?

I can understand it in the 90's when it was all new and trendy and everybody wanted to copy the 916, but it's been done to death now.
If you want a single sided swingarm monster buy a later one, don't ruin an early one.

I think it's more a case of changing it for the sake of changing it. After all, it's not custom otherwise. Of course the risk is that if everyone does it it's still not different.

Personally, I won't be fazed until somebody comes up with a zero sided swingarm

That’s awesome but once you’ve gone that route, I’d have gone for 2WD

Crazy! Shame the front end just looks like (is) a conventional bike, complete with a clutch lever for some reason? Cool idea though.

I think that clutch lever is actually the rear brake, would take a bit of getting used to
