ellooo from down south

Got myself an 03 S4r bout 2 months ago and thought i'd join in and have a look round. Its a black one as they go faster.. everyone knows that eh?
Got it as standard as far as i can tell - so took the original cans off and popped in a set of hi level termis - havent got around to getting the power commander that came with them set up or installed yet .. as have had a few niggly issues , hey ho second hand bikes eh? got 14k on her and now sounds like a duc should .. when the issues sorted out will open up the clutch so i can rattle when not booming!
cant figure out as yet why pic wont attach - but i'm not so good with pc's so you'll just have to imagine how good it looks for now.

gonna have a load of Q's but for now i'm gonna mooch around

Welcome along from another Sussexite- down on the coast in LA (Little'Ampton).

I should be getting along to Sammy's too but probably not on the Monster although I should be taking two wheels with me in the van.

I'm also at Brands this weekend with the Classic Racing Motorcycle Club if you fancy watching some old bikes go round in circles?

I think a few from here are popping along for a look- should be a good weekend's racing if the weather holds out.

Welcome to the club Steve.
Sounds like the bike will be lots of fun. I had one of the newer S4R's a while back and there's plenty of advice on the forum if you need it.

For the Power Comander there's been more of a migration to 're-mapping' the standard ECU on the bike over the last few years as it's a more elegant solution but usually about £500. I've had most of my bikes done. For the Power commander you could speak with Pro Twins in Surrey or, HM Racing in Orpington about getting it fitted and set up.
The club and the Kent section are pretty active so keep your eye out on the forum if you want to join in.

Happy riding.

all these invites the mrs not gonna see me till xmas ;-]

Flip - done trackdays at brands and you can just ride in , assuming you'd haver to pay entrance if a club event is running? anyways what you racing?

j.p - seen threads about remapping - not got 500 anymore as have some front discs coming in an attempt to cure a front end judder. know where protwins is though as they will get the bike later in the year for belts. fella i bought bike from just gave me the power commander but as he had to put new ecu in not sure if the PC fried it .. but have a second one as when i bought the hi level termis the fella didnt say a PC was included in sale but it was in the box when it turned up-- so will probably end up using one of the PC's.. lumpy i dont mind but just want the fueling right for the cans

grumpy - why have i never heard of sammy millers?? been living in a void i reckon -- where you guys meeting up/time?

Fitting of the power commander isn't that difficult, though there isn't much room on the naked bike. And you'll still need to pay for it to be set up so that should just be the time on the dyno. (Pro Twin's used HM Racing for that historically, but not sure any more).

Welcome Steve,

Kenties breakfast at Mickeys diner is good place to say hello in person.
I'm nearby in Crawley, let me know if you want to ride down to next one.

Cheers

Martin

I've never raced at Brands so will be an experience for sure- done a couple of track days in the past though.

Am racing my old 250 Mach 1- the paddock is open to all so you can get a good look at some really nice bikes (and Sidies for those that like three wheels!) and for £14 you get to watch around 20 races!!
