Bar end mirror torque settings?

For the type that insert into the bar end & are tightened up with an expanding collet. Even when seemingly tight they tend to move a little. Just don’t want to over do it. Tightening Allen bolt is M6 btw. H5 size hex socket
Any suggestions ?

What make of bar end mirror you usimg and whats the setup e.g. clamped to a bar end weight?

The ones i use seem to be solid although i do admit i go quite tight with them and they do squeak. I’ve never had any problems damaging the hex bolt or getting them back out.

Torque wrench and torque settings are nowhere to be seen for this particular task.

They are Oberon street fighter mirrors that are inserted into the bar end rather than clamped around the bar end.

What Ron said, no such thing as a torque setting, just keep going till the pips squeak!

They always seem to need to be much tighter than you'd like, to keep them firm. Maybe a bit of lube on the thread would make it sweeter?

Similar setup to me. Defo go on the tight side.

I don’t understand the “property class” distinction though. According to the table, M6 could be between 9.3 to 15 Nm.

I have these mirrors on my M900. I find they will move if I walk into them in the garage or when shoving the bike around but they don't move when riding the bike . I don't do them up especially tight .
