MotoGP dinner - Silverstone
We (each UK club) has been offered ONE place in Ducati Corse hospitality this year.
The schedule will be: • 19.00 - meet at Ducati UK Office, leave Ducati/cars parked here. Personal items/riding gear etc can be left in the conference room if not needed • 19:20 - transport to Moto GP Paddock • 19:30 – 20:00 garage tour in the Ducati box, • 20:00 – 21:30 dinner at the Ducati Hospitality with 5 minutes meeting with the riders and photo • 21:30 end of the event - transport back to Ducati Office You need to be free on evening of Thursday 28th August and a DOC registered member (I'll happily register you if you're not sure) PM me if interested and I'll pull a name out of the hat on Tue 19th August and let the winner know. Once again please ensure you are free on 28th August and able to get to Silverstone by 7pm , as we only get one place and it's an opportunity that really shouldn't be wasted |

What a fantastic treat - Thanks go to Slob for liaising with Debbie at Ducati who along with Ryan and Alan could not have been more welcoming. The "Ducati Family" is lived and breathed throughout the HQ and the pits which was great to experience first hand.
We didn't get much time with the riders beyond the photo which was fully understandable but we had plenty of time to talk to the mechanics and stand next to Cal's awesome Desmosedici - what a machine! Just so you know... UKMOC are clearly highly regarded by the team at Ducati Corse, Debbie was quite genuine when she praised Rob for his running of the club and his efforts to help round up bikes and people when needed for events etc so good job everyone - made me proud to be a member Below are a few pics from the evening: Before the rush! - Food was ace but no tiramisu !!! Cal's "Beats Audio" switch? Ideas for my exhaust ! Gubbins... Cal's leathers for this weekend

Good work: taking photos once the covers started to come off, they're usually very secretive about bikes in their underwear. Glad you had a good time. Moto GP dinners have been getting scarcer in the recession (non existant during the #46 years) We're ever so lucky to get offered a place at all.

No wonder they are being nice to UKMOC.
They must be hoping we won't notice the unlicenced use of Utopia's patented front brake retaining device on the right handlebar (in green). |

Mine's actually better than that cos the inner-tube dia is small enough to fit tight around the throttle grip when not in use, and hence can be left on the bike for use at all times.
I did tell them but they clearly weren't paying proper attention........ |
