About time I stopped lurking!
Just typed a really long intro and then lost it - what a silly arse.
Have been lurking awhile, posted a couple threads - embarrassed myself but will live through it. Took delivery of my Monster 696 in August from Pro Twins in Godstone having not ridden for 30 years. Pro Twins have been very helpful and definitely seem to be a great dealer (shame they are 70 miles from my home) My love for my Monster grows more every day and my confidence improves with every mile. I have had an advanced lesson which has helped to improve my slow riding maneuvers and cornering. I have now covered 2,400 miles, my wife thinks I have an Italian mistress as I spend more and more time on my Monster. I have also had some mods: adjustable levers stainless steel termis, ecu & air filter carbon heat shield covers 14T sprocket I just love it and it gets better and better I would like to thank UKMOC and all who contribute as I have gained so much knowledge, so quickly, that it has enhanced my experience of owning a Monster. I have just had my bike professionally cleaned and protected by mo-clean http://www.mo-clean.co.uk and I can highly recommend them, my bike looks like it just came out the showroom again. (see attached photo's) Anyway thanks again |

I really do wish you a speedy recovery.
I like the idea of an 1100s myself. Just need to see how I can wangle it. I have suggested that my wife does her DAS and then takes the 696 but I may be barking up the wrong tree. Good luck |

Welcome. Michael don't think mo-clean will provide the kind of protection that you need! |
