That black one has been up for sale for a loooooong time. I’m not paying attention to the market so unknown if it’s too expensive or something

There's a couple of others that' ve been on there a while too:-

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_f...at=422&_sop=15

Of course there's always the S4RT which is essentially the same bike except for the Ohlins. So is it worth the extra 4-5K they're asking for the RS?

To go alongside your 900 or will you be moving that on?

IIRC Someone from here went 100's of miles to buy that black one only to be told it had since been crashed on the test ride. Then they put it back up again for 3-4k more, so something doesn't add up with that seller.

To go alongside the M900 , I am afraid I have the Monster bug BAD...

The Ebay black one and the tricolour one are silly money.

And yes I hear stories about the black one too ....something sounds dodgy.

Put it this way I also found this in the USA ( 5 miles on it) and they will ship it for £15 k , so it makes the 2 eBay ones way too much £££

https://www.jamesedition.com/motorcy...Oz0sawHyOuEn8U

Anything on eBay from a trader looks like a bad buy and others are unrealistic re the actual value.

I think we will see I think hard times for the economy in the coming 6 months and the price of everything will be hit.

Speaking to the American S4RS owners they say their market is "super soft" so who knows.

Still looking BTW

Out of interest (I don't have one for sale), what do you think would be a fair price for a clean S4RS?

Have you seen the stock Tricolore on Fleabay a month or so ago for around £8k? Do you know what's the story behind that one?

Thank you

I did see that one and it sold...

I think for a private sale £8.5 ish for a standard low miles one with up to date history

More for one with lots of toys.

Dealers seem to want silly money and will advertise on eBay then remove a re-list for more..

In Europe and the USA they are much cheaper.

Carl Harrison has got a couple of very nice S4R in at the moment. One is a Red 998 that used to belong to a Norfolk member, so he can tell you how good it is.

Carl knows his Ducatis and is fussy. You can rest assured that it will be prepared to perfect condition before it leaves his shop. He's trusted locally, so there's 2 references.
Of course if you really must have the S, then you'll just have to shake your money maker.

I think sensible money should be around 8-9k for a nice one, but it would seem to depend miostly on spec and condition. And lot of those bikes (in fact most ) I've seen for sale have done stupid low miles, like barely used so they are asking top end price for one.

Spec wise; If the bike has a full Termi system and non-chopeed then that could expect another 1K since they are rare and not cheap to buy, the only other add on adding value would be an OE Ohlins steering damper so I would expect around 10K for a nice fully specced and modded bike with those options. The Tricolores were the rare limited numbered edition for the last production year only, they would command a premium for sure, how much I could not say. But 12K is certainly up there at the top end.

I have noticed that some dealers (Carl Harrison for example) have been buying up the S4 RT models for sale on ebay and hiking the price, which makes sense since they are the next best thing and would actually appear to be rarer than the RS model.

What is this RT model?
If it is a Testi-stretcher, then that is what Ally's old red one is that Carl now has for sale.

S4rt = same as s4r but with testasretta engine (weaponised 130rwhp) 10 spoke wheels from 848 (s4rs has lightweight wheels) same front & rear suspension as s4r (ohlins on s4rs) different paint & dash, I had the s4rt (Darren69 has it now) and the standard s4r suspension is fully adjustable and very good.
