You have to get that perfect and free from pinholes. Then mask up the stripes and add up to 10% of the desired basecoat to the lacquer in the gun, in this case the same Gold as the wheels.
Then spray on light coats until the opacity is at the desired level.. Tricky! I aim to still be able to see the carbon weave through the coloured lacquer.
Then de-mask and clear lacquer over the whole thing for the last time.
If you want to see carbon painted to absolute ultimate cool, take a look at Capo's tank.
I'm planning on buying a carbon helmet and having a play along similar lines.

Sorry for the hijack Darren.
It's OK, it's all good.

The Barracuda LED light I ordered from Italy turned up yesterday, actually to be fair DHL tried to deliver it Fri but the muppet driver, instead of knocking on the door he must have pressed the courtesy light button, mistaking it for a doorbell. So I consequently I didn't hear him and when I saw the DHL truck outside and the guy come and go, I assumed he had gone to next door and was too busy with work to go check. Until I saw the card in the door. Lol.

Anyway here are (hopefully) some hosted pics.

I have to recommend Omnia Racing because although their price was comparable to others I had seen for the same thing, it was free postage whereas everwhere else I had seen wanted 12-15 euro on top for posting to the UK.

Having some issues with Post image at the moment so using imgbb.com instead, so hopefully this will work. If not blame Mr Gazza

I have to say I'm impressed with the quality of it in general, but the wiring which I think should have been shrouded. I will have to put some heatshrink on it or re-use what is on the current one if possible.

Aye, that's the next job. I'm hoping it will fit ok to the custom bracket that I have because the measurements would seem to indicate that, but will have to see. I am thinking I will have to modify the bracket anyway because the light unit is about a 3rd the size of the original plastic one, so would look pants with the big square ally bracket I have currently. Maybe I will trim the bracket down or make a carbon fibre one if I can get some suitable L shape strip.

I would say it looks very good, Rizoma like quality and is even stamped with the EU reg code, so it should not be a problem legally and much brighter than the standard unit with the weak LED bulb I have in the standard unit currently.
