Hi from a newbie nr Keighley West Yorks
Hello all,
Have owned numerous mainly jap bikes over the years and have perused their forums but never posted until now. And the reason why. Since june I've become the proud owner of my first Ducati a red 1100 EVO which has so much character and style its promted me to register and get more involved. Since owning the EVO I've covered 3700 miles including a trip to the Algarve to join the wife and kids for a family holiday and back via the Picos mountains in Spain a round trip of 2400 miles. Had my doubts about it for a trip like this but it was fantastic and as good as anything else I've been abroad on. The Termis really turned heads in the quiet sleepy portugese villages but more on that perhaps in another thread. Bit more about the bikes I've owned. Passed my test in 89 and the day before passing had a brand new Yam XJ600 delivered. Had it 18 months and sold it after getting married. Wife said could have another when finances dictated and so in 99 got back into bikes and bought a 600 bandit. Since then this has been the list, 1200 bandit, CBR 600, 954 Fireblade, fazer 1000, BMW F800s, Triumph 1050 Sprint, 2010 Fireblade which I had 10 months and sold to purchase the EVO. Sorry to go on but I'll finish by saying having never been on a forum ever It might take me a while to find my way around so apologies in advance. Also I'd be interested in any ride outs etc. Note sure how many Monster fans there are in the Yorkshire area but I tend to run out to Devils Bridge, Squires etc when the weather's fine or anywhere else for that matter. Once again Hi to all and thanks. |

Hello and welcome.
Top choice of bike, I bought mine in September and I'm loving it, no time to ride it at the moment though. Cheers |

Hello!
I'm near Wakefield. I've had 4 other Ducati's, but this is my first Monster. Loving evry minute of so far, I've never spent so much on extra's either. Stopped to chat to an Evo a few weeks back near Sherburn, wasn't you was it? You missed a run out last weekend up to Whitby. I'm hoping to try and organise a proper run next year once the weather picks up. Keep an eye on the Resgional annoucement section. Rich |
