Question Aviva / Equity Red Star

I'm switching insurers, the only two who come up with reasonable numbers are Aviva and Equity Red Star.

Haven't heard of either really, the reviews I've read arent great, but then I've read crap reviews of my current insurers who I've found to be really good, so I sort've figure people only go and make a comment if they've had a bad experience.

Tried Bennetts/Carole Nash and all the usual suspects with ridiculous quotes so I'm down to few options.

Any thoughts?

Aviva use to be Norwich Union. Equity have been in bike insurance for yrs.
I would'nt worry about either, as with any insurer, you can only go by experience.

Just dont try buying a bike for over 10k & then get Aviva to insure it - they just dont do it, so that rules out the 1098/11/98/Streetfighter/Multi etc etc...........

LOL... nothing as big and exciting as the riduculous quotes I'm getting would suggest!

I think £9,999 was my favourite so far. I mean what the f**k?!

PS. ssssssssssssSSHHH!

try wicked quotes (google for the number)

They did a deal on mine whereby it was classified as a "muscle bike" and charged £350 ish rather than £800 that was my best elsewhere.

Tried all the comparison sites, as well as Carole Nash etc

Just tried that one Steve, its exact same format/layout as Ducati Insurance one and gives same quotes... maybe I'll call them tomorrow instead

I am with esure and about to be renewed in the next few hours . £240 fully comp, may be worth a try on their website? Although I initially found them on tesco insurance 2 years ago. They are the cheapest with european cover + leathers, helmet + recovery

I just love being 24 with only one year NCB and living in central london. I might as well just bend over.

At 25 I did insure a 749 in Lewisham with 1 accident on file.

Ducati insurance are good and a lot of Ducati owners use them.
H&R Insurance is quite good as well.

Ducati insurance will insure your street figher no problem. However if you do not have a garage you will not get theft insurance in central london.
