M696 [2011] grab rail or L-brackets

I'm after a grab rail for the mrs.... Ventura do a nice little rail for a piffling£16.00, but to fit it it appears I need to fork out £127.00 for the brackets to fit it?! seems a bit dubious as the [what i once thought] overpriced ducati rails are £99.00...

Anyone had any experience here? link to ventura rail below..

The Ventura rails are primarily for adding a luggage rack, so would seem to be overkill. I don't know if there is an separate aftermarket grab rail avaiiable or not. the seat on the standard monster is not really suited to carrying pillions anyway as it slops back, so maybe some of those grab handles that you can wear would be a compromise?

Ventura stuff might be functional but looks like a dogs dinner when fitted. Personally I'd stick with Ducati.

I agree, Ventura part doesn't look at sleek as the Ducati ones. But i was offended at £99 for some bent metal... such is life i suppose, turns out they're more expensive too! I do usually wear handles for her anyway. If anyone stumbles across a pair please bear me in mind eh!

There's also a grab to fit to the filler cap collar.... i can see that being an invitation to a braking headbutt festival though!

Dcati do some very nice pillion grab rails to fit the 696/796/1100 range of monsters, not to expensive and they look good.
