Just out of interest, is it expensive to race? I think it would be a really cool way to waste some cash / time, but what can I expect to pay in terms of fees for the race series, etc. Does the bike have to pass any tests to be raced?
Obviously, there will be maintenance, tyres etc to think about as well. Feel free to point me I the right direction if it’s a case of “how long is a piece of string!” |

If you haven't got over £4-5K spare for a year's *budget* racing, don't even consider it.

Can you really only get 60bhp out of a 600 then?
Actually I suppose if Ducati can only get 95 out of an 1100 then the answer is no.

That's about the limit. It's down to valve size. You can probably push an 1100 to around 110 somewhere.

It's definitely something I'd like to do in the near-ish future though... |
