How long have you had to wait to get your bike back after it was put in for a service?

2-3hrs has been the longest...for a major service...

A couple of hours usually.
I have taken and left my bike at DG before as thats an arrangement that suits me but it wasn't imposed. Where have you taken it then?

If doing shims you need to leave the engine to cool down first..

yep, motor wants to be stone cold to do shims, usually drop off the night before so it's ready to work on the next morning.

Well I have waited 2 weeks now, phoned up after 1 week and was told it was half done and then nothing, nought, nowt not a bloody thing. Have been busy at work and also done my back in last Friday so in no great hurry but come on......

I tend to leave mine over night ..
That way they have a stone cold engine to check. |
