What are you trying to do ?? Assume some kind of web dev, given that its a mixture of C / C++ you may find answers from that direction, however consider that PHP is essentially a dead language there isn't a huge amount of support out there.....

I'm trying to manipulate image uploads

finding someone who knows how it works inside out might save me a lot of time

'dead language' is a little misleading, I realise the latest release of PHP was a full six weeks ago but half the web runs on LAMP

OK maybe not entirely dead, and yes it does power a lot of the web but that's only because of wordpress, I wasn't purposely being negative about it, maybe should have said PHP still has a role to play but its a pretty much takes a backseat role due to being viewed as in secure

probably over 75% of the web. Like most things it doesn’t have to be insecure, it just can be if poorly coded and maintained.
