Did you put it in on a full tank Tom , other wise it tends not to mix and goes to the bottom and gets pulled to the carbs. Same if you put to much in on a full tank .

Hi Big Pete, thanks for replying.
I put it in and added petrol later. Prob about 3rd of the bottle went in. I've put more petrol in and it's full now and I'd hoped the mix now would have more petrol than cleaner and that would do the trick ? I've just tried it again and had to charge the battery which is a nuisance as it's under the tank innit. It still wouldn't start and the battery is running low again.

have you completely changed the petrol, try cleaning fuel filter, bear in mind they have an arrow on them!
I'm sure theres a vacuum pump on there as well?

could it have too much petrol in the carbs?

Check the fuel line - after washing the bike and raising the tank etc I always used to have to check that the fuel line wasn't kinked and then if it was.....well it would run as if the fuel line was interrupted - sounds basic but have a look...

Good luck and happy riding again soon!

SOunds like you might have put too much cleaner in and drowned the engine so to speak - best to drain the tank check the line and start again...

I put in prob 2 gallons on top of the additive and it's full now. I'm a bike novice so I'm struggling a bit as you can prob see.
I don't even have the allen keys to get the seat off and the tank off it.

the allen key? the seat should just lift straight of, theres a catch at the back of the bike, then the tank will lift up proper, there should be a tank support too

Hate to say it Tom but my moneys on carbs full of additive . it may be an off and drain j0b. Take out a plug and see if its oily looking as opposed to just petrol wet, youll smell it!. if you do it again , fill the tank first.

Thanks for this guys. I've been out at it again and got the seat off and tank up now. I think it is needing drained as you all say. The pipes don't look kinked or blocked. Is it easy enough to drain the tank and carbs ? That's my next question before I give it a go.
This is a great forum and full of friendly helpful people !

Thanks guys. I drained the carbs and cleaned the plugs and it started and is running great. What a great forum this is ! Thanks again to everyone who replied.
And I used a basin to collect the petrol which looked pretty polluted with the additive. I'm sure I had just added way too much of it.
Went out for a run with my mate and it's running better than ever !

might be worth putting the petrol in a clear container, let it settle and see if theres any water maybe at the bottom?
glad ur sorted now, enjoy riding

It's running well but now it's got a small oil leak from the bottom end and I wondered if I could just tighten the allen bolts a bit to stop it ?
It was alwas there I think but it's a bit worse now.
