yes, I'm confused by 'both ends', surely you need to redrill the mounting holes too if you shorten from the front, otherwise the brackets won't line up with the footrest hangers.

yes, I re drilled the mounting holes... you cant see one as its covered by the bracket, and the other is visible, but as its behind it cant be seen easily

Lovely job as usual, if your next project isn't a Ducati, please post the build up on here as I for one love seeing your craftsmanship

Thanks for the offers guys... I am looking around at the moment...

in the mean time, can anyone tell me where the large and small frame stickers go on a 1998 M900?

I sold the 996 engine bike... it went within two days, probably under priced it as it went for the asking price... then I had offers over the asking price as the bike had not been collected... but had committed to sell, and I virtually shook on the deal... Oh well...

back working on the remaining orange bike..… one of the problems I had was I couldn’t get to the nuts that held the tank on… not with a spanner, or a socket… but I could get an Allen key up there… but how to make an Allen nut? well I made a couple of nuts out of brass, and made a broach out of an old Allen key by grinding in some steps to take it from round to hex in steps… when it was forced through (big hammer!) as you can see it worked well!

leonlc recently fitted the exact same decals to his restoration so he should be able to help you if you PM him.
