Yes the bracket is malleable so moveable , so there a few things to finish , like tidying the cable/hoses and lining everything up. This weekend hopefully, looks like the weather is going to be ****e

I haven't seen the forecast, but if it is I will have to think of some other odd jobs on mine to keep me occupied too. I've got the clutch rod o rings to change and the new rear light so that might be enough.

Nice steady job 3 O rings and you dont have to open the hydraulic circuit, so no need to bleed the clutch, they are a closed hydraulic circuit, that works creates its own mechanical pressure and can work in a zero gravity application (Space shuttle)

Yea, I'm hoping it is those that are causing a slight oil leak behind the clutch slave, it only seems to leak drip a little when I've been riding for a while.

I just had to check actually because I couldn't remember as it has been a while, if I had ordered the 3rd one for the case but I did, from Exact Start. I hope they are better quality than those on the ill fated Space Shuttle.

Darren, there is an informative video on you tube you can do it from both sides, i personally would do it from the clutch slave side and leave the pressure plates and clutch assembly alone

I will watch the video, since I hadn't considered doing it from the slave side.

Without looking at the parts list /manual I am not sure which way round to approach it but pulling/pushing the new seals through the needle roller may not do them any good

The recommended way to withdraw and insert the clutch pushrod is via the slave end, but they often stick in the pressure plate and end up coming out with that if you remove the pressure plate. I now always make sure the rod goes into the top hat in the pressure plate with a bit of grease. There is an O-ring in the top hat, so I suppose rubber grease would be ideal but I normally use moly'.
If you have the famed anti-rotation pin in the rod, the only way that's coming out or going in is through the slave end... And a good reason to keep the top hat O-ring lubed.

Thanks, I'm just wondering if I should put the 2 small ones in some warm water to soften them before I try to fit them as there were some comments that they break easily.

Darren
i dont know if that is a good idea, i would imagine it depends if the shrink back when cooling, one of the guys doing it from the slave side uses marine grease, i would imagine there is a specific lubricant/grease for O rings, that is not too corrosive for the rings, and definitely not washing up liquid

I might have a small pack of rubber grease somewhere but if I can't find it I think I'll just use some engine oil.
