There was no ballast rule when the SP1/2 where around. Yep Dave I think 500 is the minimum number to go racing. I think used to be 250. And Ducati did use the D16 as a "leverage" for the rules. But so did Aprilia wit their £10K transmission last year, and when Petronas built that Foggy bike where they produced them and never sold them. SBK is just like any other Motorsport. Next year should be interesting, with the one bike-one rider rule (and sadly without the Panigale...yet..)

John Britten. Now that was a small firm.

Nobody minded the FP1 because it was shoite. If it started winning people would start whining.

Well done to Checa for superb consistent riding this year, and praise must go to Althea for their efforts and for having faith in the bike even when the factory couldn't be bothered with it.

On a team infrastructure level that's true; much of the original team left to work for BMW. But the equipment level as far as updates from Bologna, etc was as high as it would have been if it were a 'factory' outfit. That's how all teams should be ran, no factory pressure, and more of a team spirit.

Rally, Checa needed 3 points, not exactly surprising, was it?

It wasn't a surprise at all Max, but its still good not to know beforehand! Let's face it, look at Moto GP yesterday, who could of predicted all of that happening?

I'm okay about it Max, just airing my view.
