Finally bought the Ducati Clutch Slave Cylinder from oberon.
Ordered it online and the part was in my hand by noon next day. Just in time for the tunnel run :-) Wow. Should have done this eons ago!!! Adios left hand ache. I shall not miss you. This mod together with the ohlins rear shock has made the ol' 900 a pretty damn good bike for city traffic. |

What colour did you get? Was it easy to fit?
I adjusted the clutch at the lever the other day, but after dumping it at some lights, and nearly letting go of the bars in surprise, I’ve adjusted it back to 2-handed-stiff setting. I’d rather have a sore left hand than a smashed up bike, but this sounds like something I need!! |

http://www.oberon-performance.co.uk/...lyer_slave.pdf The whole process is not too difficult but not that simple either (comes with instructions) It did say it did not need the conversion shaft for bikes pre 2000. Linguistically challenged as I am I got confused whether pre means including 2000 as my monnie is from that year. In the end it turns out it did need the shaft. Doh! No worries though it only ment the reverse bleeding took a bit longer as it had to be done twice. Some more info here...... http://www.ducatisuite.com/clutch.html Last edited by Diego; 01-10-2009 at 04:23 PM.. |
