Awaiting first monster!

Thought I'd hop on here to show my excitement lol

I'm expecting a delivery date next week which is likely to be the end of next week or the week after for my new Monster 1200!

I love the sound of a Ducati Twin and can't wait for the awesome new bike

I'll be sad to see my Street Triple go, but it's time to move on...

That'll be a massive step from the Street Triple to the 1200.
You'll love it, though the 1200 might end up pulling your arms off as you try and hold on . Hahaha

That's essential, maybe also an Optimate (or your preferred charger) charger cable fitted to the battery? you can get one to fit to the Ducati charger port under the seat but means having to lift the seat to charge?

Then its tail tidy, rad guards, crash bungs, reasonably sized plate power for your satnav/phone etc.

I really need some paddock stand bobbins for the rear, any suggestions? R&G?

R&G make some nice things called 'spindle sliders', which as far as I can tell are virtually the same as their Cotton Reels i.e. crash protection as well as enabling a conventional rear paddock stand. They're about £35.

I have paddock stands from my Street Triple so if they fit ok i'll just get some bobbins, if not i'll get the Abba stand for sure

Isn't the 1200 a single sided swing arm ? In which case you'll definitely need a new stand vs the Street Triple.
