Thanks for the replies. Luddite, that Monster would have come with the alloy covers originally. It's an early 750 with the egg shaped primary cover, still a Pantah engine really, with reversed head. Spotted the rizoma covers on Capo's post (in luddite's link) and realized someone had already stolen my idea of putting a window in the cover. I would only do the vertical one though, as a homage to the bevels. It was to check for oil supply to the vertical bevel... No need for oil-tightness on a belt cover though.
