Funny you should ask that I got a renewal from Bennetts in the post today and an email saying they are offering a reduced service at the call center. So yes, they're open but will take longer than usual if you need to speak to anyone.

I think I'll just accept the automatic renewal this year, more important things to worry about.

Stay safe

Interesting... I have a U.K. plated vehicle, with Me here in Spain, with an MOT due to run out end of April. I would normally be driving back to the UK around now, but we have a total lock down here, so not possible to leave the house...

Yep, I've had that too today via email.

That's great news, had an MOT booked for the 31 Mar, I can leave it now and wait for 6 months.

I had intended to put my S2R800 on the road this year but that doesn't have a current MOT to extend so I might have to continue with the SC1000, but as it seems there wont be much point in going anywhere I might just leave it all until things get back to normal.
I still have my old Sunbeam to pootle about on, it doesnt need an MOT, or tax though it's 'character' limits the range at the moment.

All 3 of my bikes are due an MOT early May so this will save me the trouble (and some cash).

As long as they get the road tax joined up so that we can still tax them?

Also my Guzzi will be MOT exempt next year (should have been this year but missed out by a day on registration date!) so, hopefully won't need to MOT again...

That’s handy for me for my old vfr…needs done next month and the rear tyre is in a poor state. So that’ll give me a wee bit breathing space to get it all sorted out.

The evo on the other hand is due September and is in tip top condition so all good there.

The system works!
One of my bikes was due it's MOT on Friday and the DVLA website updated it today so it's now MOT'd until 10th October instead. :-)

I have before and after screen shots but don't know how to post pictures on here.

Good to hear about the MOT moratorium, or is that an unfortunate choice of word?

Gary's SORNing of his bike was a shrewd move. Our campervan's tax was due to run out at the end of March so, like a good citizen, I put £265-worth of annual tax on it long before the proverbial stuff hit the fan! Now it sits there looking smug. Do you suppose the DVLA will be issuing refunds for vehicles that aren't being used? No, I thought not...
