Fed up.
Didn't get out in the sunshine yesterday as had to finish up things in the house.
Got up early today and the sun was out again, so I was going to go for a ride. My clutch has different ideas and has puked fluid all over the floor again. Pondering whether to try and fix it now, or just get the train to work tomorrow. (I have an MPL clutch slave sitting next to me, but no grease or syringes or clue or ...). |

If you have the manual showing how to do it, then get stuck in.
That way, you will only have to fill and bleed the clutch when you get home from work. I find that once i get working on the bike, i tend to forget how pi$$ed off i was before. Good luck Burd. G. x |

I have topped the fluid up to see if it stays in, having a cup of tea and a glare for a moment.
Looking for pictures. |

Stick syringe on the end of the bleed tube and suck, quick way to get the air out of the system.
Or if it all goes badly wrong fill with air and inject, you'll find much more to be worried about then .....

My my, it's full of skank.
Uploading pics of where I have got to. http://www.wabblemonkeysocks.com/ladybird/clutchslave/ The pics are huge btw. And yes I did scrape some of that gunk out. Took out the bolts and pulled the casing and the spring just sat there looking at me on the end of a bit of rubber. Kept pulling bits off. There's one nearly non-existant peice of rubber, a whole one and a small squished one. Do any of these need to go back on with the MPL slave? Where do I put the grease and all these rubber washer things. Last edited by ladybird; 18-01-2009 at 02:47 PM.. |

Bless! But the weather being crap today must have made it a bit easier. At least your fur didn't get wet.

I got rained on anyway and then got stuck in someones armpit on the way home.
Moan, whinge, mumpf, grrr, argh, stamp of foot and sulk. Hopefully just one day of train hell to go. Anyway I like it when my fur gets wet..... |

Oh one thing to note, it doesn't work if you don't put in the shiny round bit with the washer in the middle.
Somehow that appears to be missing from the instructions, or I didn't read them right. |
