Body parts

Hi guys,

I have a 2011 Monster 1100S with Pearl white bodywork. The centre pieces on the tank which are normally black have been replaced with carbon parts that are showing quite a lot of sun damage.
Ideally I’d like to replace the body parts with red ones and get hold of the original pieces that fit on top of the tank (Holding the two tank panels together) and fit around the ignition key area.
I’ve had a good luck around the net but with no success. Does anybody have any suggestions where to look or who to contact.

If there's no difference in dimensions or function then why not just get the panel painted?

You can refinish carbon with a UV resistant lacquer.

The sun damage is likely to be the top coat which any painter can remove and redo easily. If you shop around probably fairly cheaply too.

Welcome aboard, Paul, the 1100S is a good choice.

As others have said, carbon fibre is easily refreshed with a rub down and new clear coat (you could use satin or matt lacquer if you wanted a change).

With the body panels, if they're in good condition, why not take the opportunity to get them repainted in the design of your choice. I got some plain, pearl white panels and had the red stripes added to mimic the old S4RS scheme.
