HELP. Ducati Monster 600 1996 headlights
Hey guys,
First post, always good to be one that's about something not working! Basically bought a 12k miles 1996 Ducati monster 600, sounds amazing looks gorgeous and everything runs perfect. Except for my headlights, all other lights working fine but dipped headlight isn't, so it's either side lights or full beam? Thanks |

How do you mean "dipped isn't".
Do you have nothing at all on dip or does it stay on main ? Obviously, if nothing at all, first check would be the bulb. Ok that's obvious but I mention it because you will probably then have to remove/refit the headlamp rim .. and its a bit fiddly sometimes. If you can test the bulb via its wires rather than removing it, you might save yourself some fiddling and frustration. How does the dip/main button feel ? Is it nice and slick/positive or does it feel sticky/vague ? Either way, my first call would be to squirt a little WD40 (or in my case, my preferred GT85) in there, and operate the button a few times to see if that sorted it. |
