1200S For Sale

Hi all,

I've decided that it's time for the Monster to go...the reason is that I find myself riding the Multi more and more...and it's not right for her just to sit there and not be ridden.

I haven't advertised it anywhere else yet - I wanted to see if there was any interest on here before it went public...would rather it went to someone who appreciates it.

It's a 66 plate 1200S with Termi's (and ECU), bar-end mirrors, Evotech short levers and grip puppies. Ducati tail tidy, led rear indicators, carbon key cover and carbon tank protector. Also Evotech fork sliders. No other modifications. It's the pre quickshift model. MOT until October 21, full ducati service history (Aylesbury). MOT says exhaust is noisy and front tyre is nearing replacement. Next service due October. Tank has been professionally ceramic coated too.

Mileage is about 8500.

Original exhaust, mirrors and levers come too.

I'm sure I don't need to tell you lot, but it's a brutal bike (in my opinion!) - plenty of smiles per mile!

Price is £7500

If there is some genuine interest, I will upload some more photos.

As you know I've seen it in the flesh Moley and it's stunning. If only I had loads and loads of money!!

Do you mean the exhausts are ceramic coated? They are very shiny. I didn't think you could ceramic coat plastic... What do I know?

GLWS.

Cheers Gary, I appreciate the comments. To be honest I didn't supervise the guy but that's what he told me! Exhausts weren't coated as far as I'm aware.

You're welcome, credit where it's due..

I'm wrong about the tank aren't I? They're metal on those!

Ceramic coating is also like a really good wax for paintwork (as well as the heat treated stuff you put on exhausts)

The 1200s looks like the evolution of the S4r and is a good looking thing (and for one minute I did wonder how much I'd get for the S2r, how close I could get to your asking price and if the body work could be colour changed but the bathroom's being done next month and the pickup needs sorting so spare funds are none existent at the moment and I doubt I'll ever sell the S2r...)

Good luck with the sale.

This comment is no help to you, but if I didn't have the faster red version, I'd love a white one. Yours looks fab. It doesn't sound a lot of money for it either. Good luck.

Cheers Mark...I've tried to pitch the price right...they seem to retail at dealers for £8,500 so think it's pretty realistic. I'd guess a part ex value would put it below 7.

Well that's that then....it's gone! Sold to a chap who already had an 821 so at least it's gone to someone who loves a Monster!
